A silicone finger can look remarkably like the one you lost.

From injury, surgery, diabetes or a condition you were born with, a custom prosthesis can restore the look of your hand, and your confidence with it.

Before and after of a custom prosthetic finger on a hand
How this works. BioDigit makes the prosthesis, but a registered clinician (a hand therapist, occupational therapist or doctor) measures, fits and supports you. We don't sell devices directly to the public, and that's deliberate: a good fit needs a professional, not a checkout.
The basics

What a custom silicone finger is

Made for you

Individually sculpted to your hand and matched to your skin tone, freckles and nail detail, not an off-the-shelf product.

Medical-grade silicone

Soft, durable and skin-like, designed to be worn comfortably day to day and look natural in normal light.

Cosmetic & functional

Primarily restores appearance and confidence, and depending on the loss can help with light function and protecting the residual finger.

The fitting journey

Four steps, with a clinician beside you at every step

Consultation

You meet a BioDigit clinician who assesses your hand and talks through what's possible.

Measure & match

They take measurements and impressions, and match colour and nail detail to your hand.

Custom made

Your finger is manufactured to that specification and quality-checked before it reaches the clinic.

Fit & aftercare

Your clinician fits it, checks it against a standard, and supports you afterwards.

What it costs

An honest word on price

Custom prostheses are a premium, made-to-order item, and the exact cost depends on the loss, the match required and your clinician's own fees. Rather than quote a number that may not fit your case, your clinician gives you a clear price before any work begins. Many people ask about funding, insurance or scheme support, and your clinician can talk through what may apply where you live.

No surprises. A BioDigit clinician explains the full cost up front, and what happens if a remake is needed, before you commit to anything.
FAQs

Common questions

Will it really look like my own finger?

That's the whole point of a custom device. It's matched to your skin tone and nail detail and sculpted to your hand. In normal day-to-day situations, most people find it blends in well.

How long does it take?

Because each finger is made to order, there's a production period after your measurements are taken. Your clinician gives you a clear delivery window, and BioDigit stands behind that window with a defined remedy if it's missed.

What if it doesn't fit or match properly?

There's a published remake and refund policy. If the device isn't right, the path to fixing it is clear and agreed in advance, not negotiated afterwards.

Can I buy one directly from BioDigit?

No, and that's by design. A prosthesis needs to be measured and fitted by a qualified clinician to be worth wearing. We supply trained clinicians; you work with one of them.

There's no clinician near me. What do I do?

Use the finder and submit your location. We'll let you know as the network grows, and your interest helps us bring a clinician to your area sooner.
