Privacy & Data Policy

How we collect, use and protect your personal information. We take this seriously, because trust is central to what we do.

This policy explains, in plain language, how BioDigit handles personal information. It is provided for transparency. It is general information and not legal advice; we recommend you have your final policy reviewed by a qualified professional in your operating jurisdictions before relying on it.

Who we are

BioDigit supplies custom silicone finger prostheses to registered clinicians who fit them for their patients. When we refer to “we” or “BioDigit” in this policy, we mean the BioDigit business and the people who operate it. Our head office is in Singapore, and we work with registered clinicians across several countries.

What information we collect

We only collect what we need. Depending on how you interact with us, that may include:

  • Interest and enquiry details: when you register your interest or contact us, your name, email address, location (country and city or region) and anything you choose to tell us in a message.
  • Clinician application details: if you are a clinician, the professional information needed to verify your registration and work with you.
  • Basic, privacy-friendly analytics: aggregated, non-identifying information about how our website is used, to help us improve it. We use privacy-focused analytics that do not track you across the web.

We ask you not to send us detailed medical or health information through our website forms. If you choose to mention your situation, we treat it with care, but the appropriate place for clinical detail is with a registered clinician, not a web form.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and, where you have asked us to, connect you with a registered clinician who provides the service.
  • Keep you informed about the availability of clinicians in your area, if you have asked us to.
  • Verify and work with clinicians who apply to join our network.
  • Operate, maintain and improve our website and service.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it to advertise to you across other websites.

The lawful basis and your consent

When you submit a form, you are giving us your consent to use your details for the purpose described at the point of collection (for example, to connect you with a clinician). You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us, and we will stop using your details for that purpose and, on request, delete them.

Who we share it with

We share your information only as needed to provide what you have asked for:

  • Registered clinicians: where you have asked to be connected with care, we may share your details with a relevant registered clinician so they can contact you.
  • Service providers: trusted providers who help us operate (for example, our website hosting and form delivery), bound to handle your data securely and only on our instructions.

We do not share your information with anyone else for their own purposes.

How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your information secure, and we limit access to those who need it to help you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take care to protect what you share with us.

How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it, or as required by law, after which we delete it. If you ask us to delete your details, we will do so unless we are required to keep them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including to access it, correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent. We honour these requests. To exercise any of them, simply contact us.

International handling

Because we operate internationally, your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where that happens, we take care that it remains protected to an appropriate standard.

Children

Our website and service are intended for clinicians and adults considering a prosthesis. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Where care for a minor is involved, that is handled by the treating clinician, not through our website.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always appears on this page.
