Sam is a third-generation prosthetist who felt from an early age the calling to help restore function to the amputee community. His grandfather was one of the first 100 Certified Orthotists in the country, specialising in paediatric orthotic care at the Shriners Hospital, and his father continued in his footsteps, expanding the focus to include prosthetic solutions. Sam was exposed to the field from a young age, learning in the fabrication facility as a teenager, and graduated at 21.
He has been with Orthocraft since completing his residency in 2012, where he now serves as Residency Director. From hip disarticulation level prosthetics to upper extremity and partial hand solutions, Sam has continued advancing his mastery of the sophisticated technologies available in order to provide the highest level of care for his patients.
